Hello everyone, when living in america long enough, you start to become curious about a lifestyle outside the states. You might start thinking, is the American dream still alive? How can I protect my family in America, Why is the food quality so bad when living in America? Today I want to discuss a difficult decision we’ve made recently – moving out of the country. We haven’t finalized the location yet, but we aim to move within the next year. There are several reasons for this decision, which I will discuss in detail.
The Cost of Living When Living In America
When Living in America the costs are wildly expensive, and while we earn a decent income, the cost of living and quality of life are better in other countries. For example, healthcare in America is extremely expensive compared to other countries, where you can get similar quality care for a fraction of the cost. The cost of living, including daily and monthly recurring expenses, is significantly lower in most countries outside of the US. We experienced this firsthand during a trip to Ecuador, where we spent only two grand for a month, living a similar lifestyle to what we had in the US.
The Food
The food in America is mediocre and expensive. We spend around $350 a month on groceries, and dining out is pricey. The food doesn’t taste as good as home-cooked meals, and the quality of food in other countries is significantly better and cheaper. In Ecuador, we ate out every day, twice a day, for three people, and still spent less and lost weight compared to eating in the US.
Safety and Gun Violence
The overall safety of America is a big concern due to the increasing gun violence. It’s alarming how common violence has become, and it doesn’t feel safe to raise a child in a culture where gun violence is almost normalized. There needs to be tighter restrictions on gun ownership and a crackdown on gun violence. It’s insane that we read headlines about school shootings and move on after a day or two without taking enough priority over the issue.
Gender and Identity
Another concern is the confusion around gender and identity in America. Other countries don’t have this confusion, and it’s concerning to raise a child in a country where people are mentally off and don’t know who they are. It’s wild that someone can decide one day to be something else other than what they are genetically. While I understand that some people are confused and have always felt a certain way, it’s not a place where I want to raise my family.
Political Division and Corruption When Living in America
Politics is another reason I never wanted to discuss publicly. The moment you express an opinion, you get bashed and criticized for thinking differently. We have become too divided as a country, and there is a lot of corruption. It’s a fair statement that there are challenges we are trying to work through as a country, and I pray that we can figure it out. In the meantime, we will move to a place where the government has confidence in their abilities to lead a nation, and everyone is safe.
Obesity and Food Quality When Living in america
Obesity is another issue in America. The quality of food in other countries is significantly better, and you can have a healthier diet and lifestyle abroad than in America. In Ecuador, we ate out every day and still lost weight, which is not possible in the US due to the quality of food. Other countries have banned GMOs entirely, and everything is locally raised and farm-sourced, making it cheaper and better quality.
Travel and Experiencing Other Cultures
Traveling and experiencing other cultures is essential to understand the world better. Many people who criticize me for my decisions have never traveled outside of the country and experienced other cultures. I am sharing my experiences and thoughts based on what I have seen and experienced as a citizen of this country. I am privileged, and I am not saying I am 100% correct, but I am sharing what I have seen with my own eyes and what I am currently experiencing.

Protecting My Family When Living In America
Ultimately, I am doing what I can to protect my family in the best way I know how. It might upset some people, and that’s okay. It’s my family, and we will do what’s best for us. You can do what’s best for you. I hope this video brings value to some of you, and if it doesn’t, that’s okay too. You don’t have to agree with everything I say. I am just one person with one perspective, and I am sharing it with you.
You’re Not As Stuck As You Think
Lastly, I want to share a message for Americans who feel stuck and can’t change. If you can’t win the game, change the rules. You can find a remote job in another country and work abroad. There are millions of digital nomads traveling the world and working abroad. You have to step out of your bubble and think outside the box. You’re not physically tied to any location, and you have options for schooling and other obligations. You are not as stuck as you think you are.
Conclusion
Thank you for listening. I appreciate it, and I hope this brings value to some of you. If it doesn’t, that’s okay too. I needed to share my point of view on this matter, and I hope it helps or brings value to some of you. See you in the next article.
